Believe it or not, there are some types of people you don’t want when it comes to attracting the right kind of network marketing recruits. Having the wrong members on your team is worse than having fewer members.

The first type of person you want to avoid in recruiting are the Big Mouths. These are people who talk about what they’re going to do and how much money they’re going to make.

They usually have vibrant personalities and can motivate anyone to listen to them. But their talk is all plan – like a builder who constantly reads home blueprints but never gets down to the building. These Big Mouths have big dreams and big plans, but they never put any of it into motion.

The second type of person you want to avoid are the Gimmees. These are also known as lazy people. These types of people always sit and watch others sweat and work hard to accomplish tasks and though they want the same success, they want the doers to come along and sweep them into it. With network marketing recruiting, the Gimmees are probably the worst kind of people for you to recruit. They want you to do everything for them and they’ll complain loudly if you don’t.

The third type of person to not have join your downline are the Gripers. These are people who originally see that the product is great, think the person who recruited them is the best, but when success doesn’t happen overnight for them, they begin to gripe about it to others. Then they graduate to laying blame – usually on your shoulders. They begin to convince others that there’s no money to be made in the product and to jump ship.

You don’t want any of those people and since you can’t read what people are like up front, you’ll have to pay attention and weed them out of your team if you get one of them. You want to recruit people who believe action goes before talk.

They know wealth isn’t built by empty words, but by rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. You want to recruit people who (like you), believe in helping others make it in network marketing. Lastly, you want to recruit people who are excited about the product and inspire others to get and stay excited as well.

Where do you find these people? You create a newsletter about your business and send it out to prospects. When they show a continued interest, they’ll want to join. You find these people by being active and excited about your business on social network sites.

Excitement is contagious. Most people don’t have a zest for their work and when someone does, it sticks out. They want what you have. You find these people by offering short ecourses they can take to learn more about your business and encourage them to take their first steps as a part of your downline.
