What Is PPC Marketing?

[ 0 ] January 11, 2012 |

If you’re not familiar with what PPC marketing (PayPerClick) is, you might want to check it out. If you have an online business, PPC marketing can bring you a log of new customers.

PPC, or Pay Per Click, is an internet based advertising program that can create traffic and customers offered by Google, Yahoo and MSN. It’s great for immediate search engine presence, short promotions or long term lead generation and is a fantastic way for new sites to get traffic.

You basically bid on how much you’re willing to pay per click (hence the name “pay per click advertising”) for the search terms that are relevant to your product or offer. The highest bidder will usually be at the top of the results page using keywords specified by the buyer.

Pay Per Click isn’t just as simple as choosing what to say in your ad, however. You must also know how to choose the right keywords and key phrases that are relevant to your business if you want to attract customers.

You should keep track of all of the keywords and key phrases that you use to attract customers. Keep in mind that using a single keyword won’t get as many results as using several or a lot. You should also take a look at your competitors and see what keywords they are using. This will give you an idea of what’s working and what’s not.

Once you have an idea of which keywords and key phrases really work, you’ll be able to use ppc marketing to your advantage and be well on your way to more leads and customers.
